Microsoft has unveiled exciting plans for the “Edge of Empire” franchise in 2025, including “Empores IV, Edge of Mithology: Ritold,” and the major expansion for “Edge of Employees II: Defmative Edition”. There is a lot to look forward to fans of the Real-Time Strategy Games with new civilizations, campaigns and game mode on the way.
For “Edge of Mythology: Ritold”, the upcoming expansion, “Amar Pillar”, will be officially launched on March 4, 2025. This DLC will characterize 12 new gods, great units, fresh building types to a Chinese mythology-inspired pantian, and nine-tier campaign. Pre-orders are now open on the Microsoft Store and are steam for $ 19.99, although the owners of the Ritold Premium version will receive it without any additional cost.
Meanwhile, the age of the Empires II: The fixed version will also get an expansion this year, although Microsoft has to reveal any details yet. According to the announcement, DLC will include “new civilizations for ranked plays” and will offer new materials for players in all platforms.
The age of the employees will be the largest focus of IV 2025, in which Microsoft is now planning two expansion instead of one. First, the Nights of Cross and Rose called, is ready to launch this spring. It will introduce two new armies and a challenging single mode designed to test the most skilled players. Developers have also indicated additional versions in civilizations and small, more repetitive game mode.
With these updates, 2025 Empires is taking shape as a historic year for the franchise age. Whether you are fan for a long time or new to the series, many games will have a lot of new materials to dive.
