The FBI has seized the cracked domain. The domain takedown is part of the “Operation Talent”, which targets platforms targeting an ongoing international law enforcement effort that facilitates cyber criminal activities.
Users trying to reach the sites now come up with error messages, while law enforcement banners confirm seizures. The domain has also been transferred to the FBI-controlled name server, effectively the access has been discontinued.
Accepting the seizure in a telegram message, the employees of Kracad.IO said, “Now that everyone has more clarity on the situation, has been cracked. These forums were known for hosting the material related to software cracks, hacking tools and the “combo list” of stolen credibility. While some members were engaged in moral hacking discussions, platforms were widely considered a center for illegal activity.
Along with these takedowns, FBI also seized domains associated with Mysellix and Sellix, which allows users to make online stores, which are often used to sell data stolen by cyber criminals. Another affected service, starkrdp, allegedly facilitated credential stuffing attacks through Windows RDP virtual hosting.
Europeol has confirmed that an ongoing operation is going on soon with expectation of more details. This latest crack suggests a growing effort by law enforcement agencies to target cybercrime marketplaces and disrupt the business of stolen digital assets.
