Extremely popular titles of Epic Games, Fortnite has made a long -awaited return to the app store for iPhone and iPad users in the United States. The game was banned by Apple in August 2020 about five years ago.
Epic sure to remove Fortnite, while it was later claimed that it was former who had violated the App Store Guidelines using an alternative payment method to bypass Apple’s Apple in the app procurement system. The trial was dragged for years, but Apple was forced to open their app store to accept third -party payment methods. Apple agreed, but still a commission fee was charged for the transaction which was completed on third party websites.
Judge Yavon Gonzalez Rogers ordered the company to stop Apple from charging the Commission after being convicted for a violation of an prohibition. He told Apple that app developers allow users to alternate payment methods, where they may be cheaper to buy or subscribe. The Epic Games celebrated the verdict by announcing that it presented Fortnite at the App Store in the US with two payment options: Apple’s own system, and an external payment option, but it was discovered that Apple had blocked the submissions worldwide. Epic claimed that Apple had also blocked the game on the alternative app marketplace in the European Union, although the company refused to do so.
The epic sports were enough for this petness, and sent a letter to Judge Yavon Gonzalez Rogers, in which he was informed about Apple’s inappropriate behavior, which to block Fortnite, even though the game now complied with rules. The judge warned Apple that his representative would be attributed to personally to ensure compliance, and would have to appear in the court by 27 May, if the case was not resolved between the two companies.
Apple has come in, and the Fortnite is allowed to return to the app store. Fans worldwide can do once again download Games on their iPhone or iPad.
