Microsoft Windows 11 is addressing a long -lasting issue that is interrupting media streaming via Chrome and Edge, especially for the material casting materials for Android TV through Chromecast. The problem is being solved through a new update when reducing chrome, which caused choppy, deformed or spade-up audio.
The Bugs stems from the power-savings feature of Windows 11, which reduces the high-resolution timer callback for background apps. While this mechanism helps preserve battery life, it inadvertently reduces the processes responsible for smooth media playback, causing poor audio quality when streaming.
Users have reported extensive issues when doing video streaming from Chrome. One user mentioned that streaming worked well on the NHL Games, but a new Windows 11 was problematic on laptops, as soon as Chrome was minimized or any other app was brought to mind.
Microsoft has now provided a fix through chromium updates. The change ensures that chrome and edge can clearly inform Windows not to throw your timer resolution even when walking in the background. A new flag, Process_Power_throttling_ignore_Timer_RESOLUTIONThe high timer for casting services directs Windows to maintain resolution, prevents audio issues.
With this fix, the Chrome users on Windows 11 will soon be able to insert media in their Android TV without experiencing audio deformation. This update is expected to roll out in the coming weeks, which is another example of Microsoft’s ongoing contribution to improve web technologies.
