Nintendo has announced a delay in pre-order for Switch 2. The company cited “a possible impact of developing tariffs and market conditions” as the company.
The decision comes on heels of growing concerns around the gaming community, especially after console, priced at $ 449.99 in the US and £ 395.99 in the UK, much higher than the pricing of the previous model.
Industry analysts have long predicted that new tariffs on goods from China can lead to high hardware and software prices. Mat Piscatella, from the market research firm Circle, repeated that significantly tariff-related pricing adjustment can change the consumer perceptions of the product. “The US may be on the verge of joining the areas known for high video games prices due to these tariffs,” he explained.
The fans were highly guessing to pre-order Nintendo Switch 2 on 9 April, but now it is not clear that they would be able to place an order for handheld gaming console. The decision to postpone the pre-nintendo-ordered can give more time to assess the dynamics of the market.
