- ,Old) Windows event viewer can display an error related to sgrmbroker.exe on January 14, 2025 updates or later installed equipment. This event has been logged as 7023 and the text should say that “System Guard Runtime Monitor Broker Service has been terminated with low error:”.
- Workeround: Microsoft says that this error has no effect on performance or functionality. The service has not been used “very long” according to Microsoft.

March 2025 How to download and install security
Security updates are downloaded and mostly installed on non-managed Windows devices. Admins can speed up the process in the following way.
- Open the start menu, type Windows updates, and choose the result.
- Activate the “check for updates” button. It runs a manual check for updates.
- If the update is not downloaded automatically, activate the “All download and install” button.
Another option is to manually download the update to install in this way.
