According to the latest Steam Hardware and Software Survey, Windows 10 has retrieved its position as the most popular operating system among steam users. This development comes when Windows 11 crossed Windows 10 in user adoption on the first platform.
By February 2025, the operating system distribution among steam users is as follows:
- Windows 10: 53.34% user
- Windows 11: 44.10% user
- Other operating systems (including Macos and Linux): Users less than 3%

- Storage solution: Most users have a storage capacity of more than 1 TB, in which the available empty space is usually between 100 and 249 GB, ensuring enough room for game installation and other data.
