Windows 11 24H2 update is now roughly available to users. Microsoft took his time to delay the rollout to fix various issues, placing the latest version since it was released in the previous year.
However, Microsoft believes it is stable, and Stated It is part of the final stage of release deployment. Despite its comprehensive availability, some people may not see updates.
PCs that have Windows 11 Homes and Pro versions will be automatically updated on Windows 11 24H2, including computers that are running versions 23H 2, 22 h 2 and 21 h2. The only exception for this is the closing points managed by IT departments. Currently, there is a compatibility problem due to unresolved hardware or software conflicts, which will not yet receive updates. For example, Microsoft blocked the update on PCs with Dirac audio software due to some audio issues. In case of such problems, the users will be stuck on 23H2, until the issues are resolved, and the version 24h2 is made available to their PC.
Users can manually check for the Settings> Windows Update> Update for updates.
Some reports claim that Windows 11 is automatically downloaded in the 24h2 update background, and that a notification will pop up to inform the user that the new version is ready for installation. But there is not enough evidence to suggest that it is for all users.
Users who want to block updates must edit a group policy, or use a third-party equipment such as incontrol to prevent a forced update.
As Windows 11 prepares the user version 24h2, some are apprehensive due to bugs and complaints mentioned in pre -stages. Users reported incompatibility with sports, loss of data due to bitlocker encryption, and much more. But Microsoft is confident that necessary improvements have been made to warrant a broad rollout.
