A few days ago, Microsoft revealed that the Snipping Tool of Windows 11 is getting AI feature to capture the correct screenshot. It appears that another new feature is being tested in the app, the snipping tool will soon allow you to create an animated GIF from screen recording.
The screenshot tool already has the ability to record the screen and save it in MP4 video. But video files are much larger in size than GIF, which are quite smaller, and therefore is easy to share through email or immediate message.
Was spotted by upcoming facility FantomophyrethA trusted Windows Leikar, who shared a demo of the new GIF creation option of the snipping tool. Users can begin the recording process by clicking on the GIF icon in the top right corner of the UI of the snipping tool. Or, you can trigger action with keyboard shortcuts, Ctrl + g. You can edit animated media after the recording is completed. The GIF manufacturer allows you to choose between low and high-quality GIFs, which provide flexibility for various use cases. Low quality GIF files are small in file size, and can be exported or copied quickly. High quality images provide a clear image, which may be useful for professional presentations, or videos.
The snipping tool will also display some relevant details about the file such as duration in seconds, the number of image resolution and the number of frames per second. This is a welcome reform, as it will allow users to make GIF easily and quickly, without using third -party apps or services.
Microsoft has yet to officially reveal the convenience, so it is not clear when it will be available to users. This will probably be released to examiners in the Windows Insider program, before it rolls out on a broader scale.
