Microsoft Windows 11 is set to make a significant change in the start menu. This will soon allow users to find and install the application from the Microsoft Store, without opening the store app soon.
A screenshot shared by Microsoft App Store and Apps Vice President Giorgio Sardo shows an example of discovering an app. This feature is designed to help users search for apps and install them quickly, as opposed to opening the Microsoft Store app and looking at the app. The search result presents a card that displays the name, icon and details of the app. It also has a gate button, on which the app is installed on the computer. Alternatively, user can click on the “Open in the Microsoft Store” button to see the list of app listing, screenshots, permissions, system requirements, etc.
It is not limited to the search and install experience start menu, the Windows search box on the taskbar will also support the feature. Although it seems in addition to a useful quality life, this change does not come without dispute. Many users have expressed dissatisfaction with efforts to promote apps and services through the start menu of the first Microsoft, such as Onedrive, Microsoft 365, etc. Some users feel that such characteristics are brave in unwanted advertising fields. It has also raised questions about the effectiveness of user privacy and search results. There is also a risk of installing fake apps/malware that muscle as legitimate versions of popular services.
Sardin They say The ability to install apps from Windows 11 Start menu will soon rolling for users. It is not clear whether the user will be able to disable the app search functionality from the settings app may require the group policy to edit or change the registry.
